Tucked away in a vibrant city apartment block, this two-bedroom Airbnb proves that compact living can still be full of personality, comfort, and thoughtful design. With a smart layout that sees the lounge and dining area flow seamlessly from the kitchen, this space was all about maximising style without overwhelming its footprint.
The client had a clear vision — to keep the palette calm and cohesive. Muted tones of grey form the base, layered beautifully with soft mustard and rich teal accents. These colours not only keep things feeling fresh and modern, but also work perfectly with the natural light and urban views beyond the windows.
To enhance the feeling of space, we introduced a series of well-placed mirrors throughout the apartment. These open up the rooms visually, bounce light around, and bring a touch of elegance — a simple design trick that makes a big difference in smaller settings.
In the living area, we anchored the space with a striking animal skin rug in speckled tones of grey, white, and black. It adds texture and depth underfoot, while tying the colour palette together in a way that feels cohesive but never too polished.
